Emergency student support handout for Continuing studies (from MEXT)

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) is now accepting applications for the “Emergency student support handout” for “Continue Studies”. This program provides cash grants to students who are unable to continue their studies due to a significant decrease in household and part-time income due to the recent spread of COVID-19.
As a general rule, students must be independent from their families and be able to cover their school fees with part-time income, their income must have decreased significantly due to the spread of the COVID-19, and they must be unable to pay school fees and other expenses even with the help of existing support systems.
