SIT rises to 30th in THE Japan University Rankings 2021 and 6th among private universities

Up in rank for five consecutive years since the first edition
Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) ranked 30th among Japanese universities and landed at 6th among private universities in British magazine Times Higher Education’s THE Japan University Rankings 2021, published on March 25.SIT’s “international approach” to global talent development has been gaining 欧洲杯足彩app下载_欧洲杯下注平台-【直播*网站】 recognition year after year, significantly rising from last year’s 35th place in the THE Japan University Rankings 2019. SIT’s new position is its highest ever, having improved for five years in a row since the rankings started in 2017.

internationalization, evaluation by students and high school teachers, and the activities of graduates - all indicators and perspectives are increasing.The THE Japan University Rankings have been released annually since 2017 by THE – renowned for its World University Rankings – in cooperation with the Benesse Group to evaluate the educational abilities of Japanese universities.
The latest rankings are mainly based on universities’ performance data for the 2019 academic year. SIT’s promotion of globalization and other efforts were highly evaluated, and its ranking in internationalization also greatly improved to 35th this year from 41st in last year’s publication.
SIT will continue assuring and improving the quality of its education as a global model for science and engineering education with the goal of “Fostering global engineers and scientists who learn from international society and contribute to global sustainability.”
SIT will mark the 100th anniversary of its founding in 2027, its target year to become one of Asia’s top 10 engineering universities. With this goal in mind, it will continue moving forward with its Centennial SIT Action plan for the university’s reform.
