Shibaura Institute of Technology holds Degree Conferral Ceremony

On September 22, SIT’s 2022 Fall Degree Conferral Ceremony was held on its Toyosu Campus and broadcast live to all concerned. Family members were also able to join in the live broadcast to celebrate the graduation of 11 doctoral students, 20 master's students, and 18 undergraduate students. The ceremony was attended by international students, including graduate students from China, Thailand, Indonesia, Mongolia, and other Asian countries who will be enrolled this fall.
Degrees were conferred and the President's Award (Global) was presented to international students with outstanding academic achievements or who have made a significant contribution to supporting international students. President Jun Yamada quoted the proverb "Ningen banji saiougauma", which means “Fortune is unpredictable and changeable”, in order to support his hope that graduates would keep moving forward after graduation without being overly sad or happy every time something new happens to them. In his ceremonial address, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Takeo Suzumi, said, "I would like all of you to always have a humble heart and a sense of gratitude, and to be able to say to others, ‘Thank you’.
