SIT has concluded an agreement with Vietnam Japan University (VJU) in Vietnam for university collaboration.

Shibaura Institute of Technology（SIT）has concluded an agreement with Vietnam Japan University (VJU) in Vietnam for university collaboration.
The signing ceremony was held at SIT, on June 27th. Prof. Dr. Furuta, Rector of VJU visited SIT and mutually confirmed their desire to strengthen cooperation between the two universities with President Dr. Yamada and other faculty members. The signing ceremony was held as a hybrid event, with a live broadcast via zoom with the VJU faculty and staff members. As VJU is developing the field of Computer Science and Engineering, it is expected that this will develop into international and other programs, including exchange programs (inbound and outbound) and faculty exchanges.
 

About Vietnam Japan University (VJU)

A Vietnamese national university established in July 2014 (opened in September 2016) after the Vietnamese and Japanese governments issued a joint statement in 2010 that included the item "to consider establishing a high quality university in Vietnam with Japanese cooperation". The Rector of the VJU is Dr. Motoo Furuta.
